Leslie Warren, DDS

Dr. Warren

“My goal as a pediatric dentist is to instill in children pride in their oral health and to build their confidence in such a way that they are fearless in facing their dental treatment needs. My goal is to create a positive environment in dentistry to establish lifelong interest in maintaining their oral health as adults.” – Dr. Warren

Dr. Leslie Warren joined Dyersburg Pediatric Dentistry in August 2006. She was born and raised in Dyer County and graduated from Dyer County High School in 1994. Dr. Warren earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1998 and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Tennessee of Memphis in June 2001.

Dr. Warren spent the early years of her career practicing family dentistry serving the people of the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana. While serving in Montana, she became a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Women Dentists. While she had the opportunity to serve people of all ages, it was working with children that she enjoyed most. She firmly believes that earning their trust is a challenge and a privilege.

In addition to her work at Dyersburg Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Warren is an Instructor of Radiology at Dyersburg Academy of Dental Assisting. She continues her own education through seminars by the UT College of Dentistry to help ensure she is kept up to date with latest research, technology, techniques, and dental materials available.

Dr. Warren and her husband Chip have two daughters, Madison and Hayden, as well as three dogs, Marshall, Millie, and Vada, and an ever-changing flock of chickens.

Dr. Warren and Chip spend a good deal of time traveling to visit their daughters at Mississippi State University and University of Tennessee Knoxville. When not traveling, you will find Dr. Warren painting, quilting, throwing pottery, baking bread, or spending time with her farm animals.

Susan Huffstetler Cox, DDS

Dr. Cox

“As a pediatric dentist, I have the opportunity to help children gain confidence in themselves—whether teaching them how to care for their health or putting them at ease if they are anxious about their dental care, and by letting them know that we care about them. A hug, a smile, or a high five from a child who has had a great appointment is the best reward. I hope that we can help our patients be healthy and feel great about their smiles!” – Dr. Cox

Dr. Susan Huffstetler Cox joined Dyersburg Pediatric Dentistry in 2002. Her goal, along with every member of our team, is to give each patient the most excellent care in a friendly, fun, and encouraging environment.

A native of Union City, Tennessee, Dr. Cox attended Vanderbilt University for her BS Chemistry, followed by the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry for her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. A great love for working with children led Dr. Cox to complete a two-year specialty residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Included in her training was providing surgical and emergency services at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Cox is required to complete extra study in pediatric dentistry-related continuing education each year. This allows her to stay up to date on the latest research and treatments available for our patients.

In addition to being a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Tennessee Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the 7th District Dental Society.

Dr. Cox is married to Wade, who is a United Methodist Pastor. They have two grown children, Davis and Brooke. Her free time consists of family, being active in her church, and traveling to new places, especially countries and national parks.

RiCha Buchner, DMD

Dr. Buchner

With 16 years of experience in pediatric dentistry, Dr. RiCha Buchner has learned more about life from her patients than she could ever teach them about oral health. She genuinely cares about the long-term mental and oral outcomes of her patients, approaching each case with a unique blend of skill and compassion. Trained to manage the specific dental needs of children efficiently, Dr. Buchner sees her ability to help people as a blessing and approaches her work with unwavering dedication, respect, and a little bit of fun.

Dr. Buchner attended Murray State University for her Bachelor of Science degree, followed by the University of Louisville for her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry.

To expand her education, Dr. Buchner completed a mini pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota, as well as 100 hours of sedation training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She attends the American Academy of Orthodontists and Southern Association of Orthodontists meeting yearly to stay abreast of the latest technology and modalities in pediatric dentistry. Additionally, she is a member of the Seventh District Dental Society and the Jackson Study Club.

Originally from Clarksville, Dr. Buchner has lived in Jackson for the past 12 years, where she and her husband Eric have raised their three children, Anna Kate, Curt, and Ben. Dr. Buchner keeps busy being her kids’ biggest fan, cheering them on at their tennis, soccer, baseball, football, dance, and cheerleading events. The family also enjoys traveling, especially to Disney, and boating at Kentucky Lake. When she has a moment to herself, Dr. Buchner enjoys working out on her Peloton, as fitness has always been a passion of hers, as well as being active in Fellowship Bible Church.

Mallory Weeks, DDS

Dr. Weeks

“Pediatric dentistry calls for unique characteristics and elevated levels of specialist skill and knowledge: endless patience, profound empathy, a practiced ability to inspire trust and confidence, and, most importantly, a genuine and deep affection for children.” – Dr. Weeks

Dr. Mallory Weeks has practiced dentistry for six years. She loves teaching young children the importance of proper oral health and habit management. Her warmth sets even worried children at ease and ensures they feel safe so they can relax in her gentle hands. These connections are reinforced when her patients see her in the community and run up to say hello!

Growing up in Dyersburg, Dr. Weeks knew from a young age she wanted to be part of the oral healthcare field. She has many fond memories of watching her dad practice dentistry: from the time she could walk she would help him in his office.

Following her graduation from Dyersburg High School in 2011, Dr. Weeks attended the University of Memphis, obtaining her Bachelor of Science Magna cum laude in 2014. Dental school came next, at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Additionally, Dr. Weeks has completed the competitive and year-long, post-graduate IV/Conscious Sedation Hospital Program from Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This program is one of the only two programs the state of Tennessee accepts to sedate pediatric patients.

Along with her regular continuing education activities, Dr Weeks is honored to serve on the Board of Health for Dyer County.

Married to her husband Ty since 2019, the couple has son Brett, daughter Madeline, and a baby boy – James – on the way! The family includes two pups, too: Blitz and Elle.

Dr. Weeks and Ty love supporting the kids’ extracurricular activities. In spring and summer you’ll find the family at the ball park cheering for Brett’s baseball team. They also enjoy watching Madeline at her dance recitals. When not on the road with the kids, they enjoy family time at home, playing outside and swimming, or doing crafts inside.

Active in their church, the family makes the most of various activities it puts on throughout the year, as well as community events through local government. Not to mention, they are big DHS fans: Go Trojans!
